
Scholarships for 2025-2026 Academic Year
Admittance for Scholarship Application for 2025 academic year is April 1, 2025.
The Former Students and Friends of Robert Moton high School, Inc., will award two (2) scholarships to two (2) scholarships for the Fall Semester of the 2024-2025 academic year to African-American students graduating from Carroll County High Schools. The scholarships are:
- The George M. Crawford Scholarship for $3,000 to be awarded to the highest academic performer.
- The Richard N Dixon, Inc. Scholarship for $2,000 to be awarded to the next highest academic performer.
Interested students must submit their application packet by April 1, 2025 at 5pm online per the application form or email address. Alternatively the application can be submitted to the Guidance Counselor by stated due date and time. The package must include the following information:
- The Former Students and Friends of Friends of Robert Moton High School, Inc. scholarship application form
- High school grade point average,
- High school transcript,
- Letter of recommendation from their instructor, counselor, or administrator,
- Signed letter discussing your career interests and why they should be considered for the scholarship, and
- Letter of acceptance from the college or university you will be attending.
The scholarship committee may interview select applicants.
Once the selections have been made, the committee will send the scholarships directly to the recipients’ institutions for application directly to their Fall 2025 tuition. Should any of the recipients decline Fall enrollment, the scholarship will be forfeited.
Our Scholarship Dinner/Dance will be May 4, 2025 from 2-6 at the Mount Airy Reception Center and we would like to recognize the recipients of the scholarship and their family members.
